Our Services

We protect the Berwick borough with Pride & Courage.

Established in 1903 as a volunteer firefighting organization the Defender Fire Co. has served the Berwick borough in its time of need.
 
Out of the 5 borough fire companies the Defenders is the only one without out a bar and no alcohol is allowed on the premises. This is how we got the nickname of "The Buttermilk Gang".
 
The Defender Fire Co. now has 100 + members and is one of the most well known in the area.
 
The Berwick borough is made up of about 6000 people.
 
We are always ready to go when that alarm sounds we don't waste any time getting out the door.
